Yellowstone's Waterfalls

Yellowstone is waterfall country. Here you see the Gibbon River gushing
over the eroded rim of an old volcanic caldera to form Gibbon Falls.
Abundant runoff water, precipitous fault scarps, steep-sloped lava flows,
and abrupt difference in rock hardness all contribute to the number
and variety of Yellowstone's waterfalls.

You can drive to several including
the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone.
Many other beautiful falls await the
wilderness hiker.
